Amends Section 37-151-5 of Mississippi Code to define "at-risk pupil" as a compulsory-school-age child with increased probability of school failure and dropping out.

Includes in the definition of "at-risk pupil" children from families in poverty, single-parent families, student parents, those previously retained in school, those with below-grade-level educational attainment, and those failing promotion or graduation requirements.

Adds children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder to the definition of "at-risk pupil" for purposes of the Mississippi Adequate Education Program (MAEP).

Defines "autism spectrum disorder" as a neurological disorder affecting normal brain functions, manifested by impairments in communication and social interaction, and restrictive, repetitive, and stereotyped behaviors.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
