Amends Section 17-23-1 of the Mississippi Code to clarify monetary amounts available to counties under the Rural Fire Truck Acquisition Assistance Program administered by the Department of Insurance.

Adjusts total assistance amounts for counties based on the number of fire trucks previously received, ranging from $650,000 for counties with no prior trucks to $70,000 for counties that have already received ten trucks.

Specifies assistance structure of up to $50,000 per truck for the first six trucks and up to $70,000 per truck for the seventh through eleventh trucks, with fire trucks required to meet National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1900 series standards.

Requires counties and municipalities to pledge matching funds equal to at least one-tenth (1/10) of requested assistance amounts over a period not exceeding ten years to be eligible for program participation.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
