Authorizes school administrators to have access to a handgun at their school if they hold a federal firearm license, a Mississippi concealed carry license, and complete a certified firearms training course

Requires the handgun to be a caliber greater than .38 and loaded only with exploding ammunition designed to prevent ricochet

Mandates the handgun be stored in a biometric gun safe in the administrator's office, accessible only to trained and licensed administrators

Restricts use of the handgun to situations where students and others face immediate danger of death or serious bodily injury

Effective date of July 1, 2013
