Authorizes local school boards to adopt policies addressing sexual abuse of children, with optional components including teacher and parent awareness programs, staff training, age-appropriate curriculum for pre-K through 5th grade, and counseling resources.

Establishes the Mississippi Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual Abuse of Children with 16 members appointed by legislative leaders, the Governor, and various state agencies and organizations.

Task force shall study child sexual abuse throughout the state, gather information from agencies and organizations, receive testimony, and recommend state policies to prevent child sexual abuse.

Task force must submit written findings and recommendations to the Governor and Legislature before January 1, 2014, then dissolve upon submission of the report.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
