Nursing schools and degree programs at state universities and public community/junior colleges with 100% enrollment in 2012-2013 are eligible to receive state funding to hire up to four additional faculty members beginning in 2013-2014.

Schools receiving funding must increase enrollment proportionately for each additional faculty member hired with the funding provided.

Legislature shall appropriate necessary funds to the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, Mississippi Community College Board, and State Department of Education to implement the provisions.

Expands the purposes of the Mississippi Workforce Enhancement Training Fund to include funding for nursing schools and programs to hire additional faculty members under these provisions.

Act takes effect July 1, 2013.
