Amends Mississippi Code Section 63-3-519 to authorize sheriffs and their deputies to use radar speed detection devices on public roads, streets, and highways outside municipality corporate limits in counties with populations of 95,000 or more according to the latest federal decennial census.

Requires sheriffs to ensure all deputies receive training in proper operation and calibration of radar equipment before using it in their employment duties.

Makes technical corrections to existing law by changing "shall be" to "is" and renaming numbered subsections from (1), (2), (3) to (a), (b), (c), and adding new subsection (d) for sheriff authority.

Maintains existing radar use authorizations for the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol, municipal law enforcement in cities of 2,000+ population, and college/university campus police.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
