Adds auction companies to the list of professionals that county boards of supervisors may contract with under Mississippi Code Section 19-3-69, alongside existing professionals such as attorneys, accountants, and architects.

Requires auction companies to meet standards established by the State Department of Audit in order to be hired by county boards.

Expands county boards' authority to sell both personal and real property through public auctions managed by auctioneers or auction companies, in addition to existing disposal methods under Section 17-25-25.

Requires boards of supervisors to document in their minutes that auction services are necessary and in the county's best interest, and to have contracts approved by the county attorney.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
