Amends Mississippi Code Section 43-13-115 to add a new category (28) of Medicaid-eligible individuals: those under 65 years of age, not pregnant, not entitled to Medicare Part A or B, and with income not exceeding 133% of the federal poverty level.

Eligible individuals under the new category (28) shall receive benchmark coverage or benchmark equivalent coverage as defined in Sections 1937(b)(1) or 1937(b)(2) of the federal Social Security Act.

The Division of Medicaid shall determine eligibility for individuals in the new category and redetermine eligibility for all recipient categories as required by federal law.

The bill implements provisions authorized under the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Takes effect January 1, 2014.
