Requires all-terrain vehicle (ATV) owners who are state residents to register with their county sheriff beginning July 1, 2013.

Registration forms must include owner information, vehicle details (make, model, serial number), purchase information, and usual location of the vehicle.

Sheriffs retain original registration forms and forward copies to the Department of Public Safety, which establishes a statewide ATV registration network for law enforcement response to complaints and reports.

One-time registration fee of $10.00 per vehicle, with $6.00 forwarded to the Department of Public Safety and $4.00 retained by the county.

Department of Public Safety designs and distributes decals containing vehicle identifying information for placement on registered ATVs.
