Amends Section 11-7-13 of Mississippi Code to clarify that only specified persons may bring wrongful death actions: widow, husband, child, parent, sibling, or the personal representative of the deceased.

Establishes that only those persons listed in the statute shall be considered "interested parties" eligible to bring wrongful death claims.

Permits defendants to request within 90 days of filing an answer that plaintiffs initiate the process of determining heirs, with determination required before trial commencement.

Maintains existing provisions allowing wrongful death recoveries for property damages, funeral expenses, and medical expenses, plus other damages distributed according to surviving family relationships.

Takes effect upon passage.
