• The Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission shall not establish rules or guidelines that restrict medical providers from obtaining the maximum allowable reimbursement the commission has established.

• The commission shall not set reimbursement rates for medical and surgical services for work-related injuries that are less than 80% of what the same services receive under the State and School Employees Health Insurance Plan.

• These restrictions apply to reimbursement for medical, surgical services, and supplies used to treat work-related injuries or diseases.

• The bill takes effect July 1, 2013.
