Congratulates the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Dr. Hannah Gay, Dr. Katherine Luzuriaga, and Dr. Debra Persaud for functionally curing a baby born with HIV infection announced on March 3, 2013.

Acknowledges the treatment team's partnership between the University of Mississippi Medical Center, University of Massachusetts Medical School, and Johns Hopkins Children's Center.

Recognizes that prompt administration of antiretroviral therapy (ART) within 30 hours of the infant's birth likely stopped dormant cells responsible for reigniting HIV infection.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the three named physicians, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
