Expresses Mississippi Legislature's profound regret for the state's role in slavery and apologizes for the wrongs and aftereffects of slavery in the United States.

Extends deepest sympathies and solemn regrets to enslaved people and their descendants for deprivation of life, human dignity, and constitutional protections.

Encourages remembrance and teaching of slavery, Jim Crow laws, and modern-day slavery history to prevent these tragedies from being forgotten or repeated.

Specifies the resolution cannot be used in or serve as the basis for any litigation.

Directs distribution of the resolution to state elected officials, higher education leadership, civil rights organizations, and media to inform constituents of the Legislature's position.
