Commends Representative George Flaggs, Jr. for 26 years of consecutive service in the Mississippi House of Representatives from District 55 (Warren County), serving from 1987 to 2013.

Recognizes Flaggs' career achievements including his roles as Chairman of the House Labor, Juvenile Justice, Banking and Financial Services, and Corrections Committees, and his service on numerous other legislative committees.

Honors Flaggs' focus on education, gaming, economic development, and penal system efficiency, along with his extensive awards and recognitions including the 2005 NAACP Vernon Dahmler Award and 2011 Friend of Tourism Award.

Acknowledges Flaggs' national legislative leadership through his service as former Chairman of the Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus and roles in the Southern Legislative Conference and National Black Caucus of State Legislators.

Expresses the Mississippi Legislature's appreciation for Flaggs' dedicated service and personal sacrifices on behalf of the citizens of Mississippi as he retires from the House.
