Notes that Alcorn won three awards at the 2012 ceremony: HBCU of the Year, Male Alumnus of the Year (Dr. Shelby Wilkes), and Best Alumni Publication for The Alumni Magazine

Credits the university's faculty, students, alumni, and staff for the institution's academic reputation and achievement of these honors

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Alcorn State University and members of the Capitol Press Corps
