Commends the life and legacy of Dr. Grant Alan Dungee, III, and expresses sympathy to his family, colleagues, and friends upon his passing.

Recognizes Dr. Dungee's 50-year career including 32 years at Alcorn State University (1957-1989) as head track and cross-country coach and chair of health and physical education, and 15 years at Albany State University (1989-2004) as head women's track coach.

Acknowledges his coaching achievements including four world record holders, two Olympic Team selections, 26 All-Americans, five consecutive SCAC championships (1959-1963), and the 1997 SIAC women's track and field championship.

Documents his numerous honors including SCAC Track Coach of the Year, SIAC Women's Coach of the Year, NAIA Area 5 Coach of the Year, SWAC Lifetime Achievement Award, and membership in the U.S. Olympic Committee.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Dr. Dungee's family and the Capitol Press Corps.
