Commends and congratulates the Biggersville High School Lions Boys Basketball Team for winning the Class 1A State Championship on March 7, 2013.

Lions defeated defending champion Coldwater Cougars 62-53 in the championship game with 50% shooting from the floor and out-rebounded opponents 47-32.

Team finished season with 28-7 record and secured first state championship since 1996, the only other title in school history.

Daniel Simmons named Most Valuable Player of the championship game with 22 points and 13 rebounds; Blake Stacy named Scholar-Athlete of the game.

Head Coach Cliff Little recognized for coaching and inspiring the team; copies of resolution to be furnished to the school, coach, and press corps.
