Encourages the Division of Tourism of the Mississippi Development Authority to establish National Musicians' Day in Mississippi to celebrate the state's musical heritage and encourage nationwide participation.

Designates the first week in June as the time to celebrate Mississippi music and its impact on the United States and the world.

Recognizes Mississippi as the "Birthplace of American Music" and notes the state has produced more Grammy Award winners per capita than any other state.

Acknowledges contributions of Mississippi musicians across blues, country, R&B, gospel, jazz and rap genres, including historical figures like B.B. King, Elvis Presley, Muddy Waters, and Robert Johnson.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to the Division of Tourism of the Mississippi Development Authority and Capitol Press Corps.
