Commends the physicians, nurses, staff and administration of the Bancroft Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital for exceptional medical service and emotional support to patients and families.

Acknowledges the PICU as Mississippi's only dedicated pediatric intensive care unit, staffed by approximately 130 specialized team members including pediatric intensivists, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, respiratory therapists and social workers.

Recognizes the unit's care of nearly 1,500 children in 2012 and staff efforts in providing life-saving technology and spiritual support regardless of financial means.

Extends appreciation on behalf of Representative Mark Formby and his family for the care provided to Ella Marie Formby during a tragic automobile accident.

Directs copies of the resolution to be presented to the Bancroft PICU, the Formby family, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
