Pass Christian Middle School is commended for being named a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education, joining its sister school Pass Christian High School which received the award in 2005.

The school is recognized for demonstrating exemplary high performing academics where students achieve very high academic levels, and for being the number one school in Mississippi with the highest QDI rating for five consecutive years.

Pass Christian Middle School was one of approximately 269 public and private schools nationwide honored as 2012 National Blue Ribbon School recipients at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on November 12-13, 2012.

The National Blue Ribbon School program honors schools that are either academically superior or demonstrate dramatic gains in student achievement, continuing a 30-year tradition of recognizing nearly 7,000 American schools.

Copies of the resolution shall be furnished to Pass Christian Middle School, the State Board of Education, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
