Commends Bo Wallace, University of Mississippi quarterback, for winning the 2012 Conerly Trophy as the best college football player in Mississippi.

Wallace, a sophomore who transferred from East Mississippi Community College in spring 2012, completed his season with 2,994 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, 390 rushing yards, and 8 rushing touchdowns.

Wallace became the fifth Conerly Trophy winner for Ole Miss, joining Eli Manning (2001, 2003), Deuce McAllister (1999), Stewart Patridge (2007), and Patrick Willis (2006).

Wallace was named MVP of the 2013 BBVA Compass Bowl after throwing for 151 yards and three touchdowns in Ole Miss's 38-17 victory over the University of Pittsburgh.
