Requests the House Rules Committee to reconsider or suspend its rules to take further action on Senate Bill No. 2207, which had been tabled on February 14, 2013.

Senate Bill No. 2207 extends repealers on four Mississippi Medicaid Law code sections scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2013.

The repealers would eliminate Section 43-13-107, which creates the Division of Medicaid in the Office of the Governor, and Section 43-13-145, which funds the Medicaid program through assessments on health care facilities including hospitals.

Senate Bill No. 2207 remains viable until the March 5, 2013 deadline for Senate bills to be reported out of committee, and is the only remaining vehicle to address the repealers.

Emphasizes that failure to extend the repealers before July 1, 2013 would be disastrous for Medicaid recipients and providers.
