Request House Rules Committee to reconsider or suspend rules to advance Senate Bill No. 2207 out of committee for a full House vote.

Senate Bill No. 2207 would extend repealers on four Mississippi Medicaid Law code sections scheduled to take effect July 1, 2013.

Section 43-13-107 creates the Division of Medicaid in the Office of the Governor; Section 43-13-145 provides Medicaid funding through assessments on health care facilities including hospitals.

Rules Committee tabled Senate Bill No. 2207 on February 14, 2013, but bill remains alive until March 5, 2013 deadline for Senate bills to be reported from committee.

Failure to extend the repealers before July 1, 2013 would cause harm to Medicaid recipients and providers, making legislative action before end of 2013 Regular Session imperative.
