Request the House Rules Committee to reconsider or suspend its rules to take further action on Senate Bill No. 2207, which was tabled on February 14, 2013.

Senate Bill No. 2207 extends the repeal dates for four code sections of Mississippi Medicaid Law that are set to expire on July 1, 2013, including provisions establishing the Division of Medicaid and funding mechanisms for the program.

Emphasize that Senate Bill No. 2207 is the only remaining vehicle to address the Medicaid repealers before the March 5, 2013 deadline for Senate bills to exit committee.

Warn that failure to extend the repealers would create disastrous consequences for Medicaid recipients and providers if the bill does not pass before the end of the 2013 Regular Session.
