Request House Rules Committee to reconsider or suspend rules to take further action on Senate Bill No. 2207, which had been tabled on February 14, 2013.

Senate Bill No. 2207 extends repealers on four code sections of Mississippi Medicaid Law scheduled to expire July 1, 2013, including provisions establishing the Division of Medicaid and funding mechanisms for the program.

Bill remains alive until the March 5, 2013 deadline for Senate bills to be reported out of committee, making reconsideration possible under House Rules.

Passage of Senate Bill No. 2207 is characterized as imperative to prevent adverse effects on Medicaid recipients and providers from loss of administrative structure and program funding.
