Commends the life, legacy, and service of Marco Watson McMillian, a 34-year-old Clarksdale, Mississippi native and magna cum laude graduate from Jackson State University who passed away.

Recognizes McMillian's accomplishments including serving as International Executive Director of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. from July 16, 2007, to October 1, 2011, where he secured $500,000 for the fraternity and its first federal contract.

Honors McMillian's educational background (master's degree from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota in Philanthropy and Development) and professional experience as Executive Assistant to the President at Alabama A&M University and in various roles in higher education and public schools.

Acknowledges McMillian's numerous awards and honors including "Top 40 Leaders under 40" by Mississippi Business Journal, President Barack Obama's Lifetime Volunteer Service Award, and the 2009 Thurgood Marshall Prestige Award.

Expresses deepest sympathy to McMillian's family, colleagues, and friends, and directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to his family, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity headquarters, and Capitol Press Corps.
