Increases the maximum fee a justice court judge may receive for performing a marriage ceremony in the courtroom or offices of the justice court from $25.00 to $50.00.

The $50.00 fee applies only when the ceremony is performed in the courtroom or offices during public hours and must be paid by the parties to the marriage.

Allows justice court judges to receive money or gratuities of any amount agreed upon for marriage ceremonies performed outside the courtroom and offices when those facilities are closed, which are not considered official court fees.

Effective date is July 1, 2013.
