State agencies (excluding higher education institutions, community colleges, counties, and municipalities) must submit notice of regular meetings to the Department of Finance and Administration at least 24 hours before the meeting.

The Department of Finance and Administration shall publish all submitted meeting notices on its searchable website created under the Mississippi Accountability and Transparency Act.

"State agency" is defined as any agency, department, institution, board, commission, council, office, bureau, division, committee or subcommittee of the state.

Legislative committees are excluded from the 24-hour advance notice and website publication requirements.

The act takes effect July 1, 2013.
