Allows retired teachers with 25+ years of creditable service who are re-employed as teachers in public schools to continue receiving retirement allowances while earning a teacher's salary.

Permits teachers with 25+ years of service to begin receiving retirement allowances while still employed as teachers without withdrawing from service.

Retired teachers choosing to receive retirement benefits while re-employed shall not be contributing members of the retirement system and shall not earn additional creditable service during that employment period.

Limits salary for retired teachers drawing benefits while re-employed to the base salary for teachers with no experience in similar positions, with no supplements, annual increments, or other increases.

Requires retired teachers to notify the retirement system executive director of their choice to continue receiving benefits before re-employment as teachers, effective July 1, 2013.
