Reduces the probationary period for certified school district employees from two years to one year under the School Employment Procedures Law.

Eliminates the probationary period for certified employees who transfer from another Mississippi school district and have completed one year of continuous employment there.

Changes the definition of "employee" to require one year of continuous employment with a Mississippi school district rather than two years.

Effective date is July 1, 2013.
