Coahoma Agricultural High School and Hinds Agricultural High School shall be discontinued and administratively transferred to their respective county school districts effective July 1, 2014, with their boards of trustees abolished on that date.

All real and personal property of the agricultural high schools transfers to the appropriate county school district, except real property titled to community colleges remains with those institutions; all sports and extracurricular equipment becomes county school district property.

County boards of education may choose to continue operating the agricultural high schools, and students may continue attending them; alternatively, Hinds County may close its school and transfer students to other county high schools with adequate space.

Students enrolled at the time of closure may receive two diplomas upon meeting graduation requirements: one official diploma from the county school district and one courtesy diploma from the former agricultural high school.

For the initial two years following consolidation, the State Department of Education may grant accountability and assessment waivers when determining accreditation levels for the receiving school districts.
