Creates a process for individuals discharged from court-ordered mental health treatment to petition for relief from federal firearms disabilities, requiring the court to find they are no longer dangerous and that removing the disability is not against public interest

Maintains confidentiality of the prohibited-person information held by the Department of Public Safety while granting individuals access to their own records

Requires clerks to notify the department within 30 days when qualifying orders are reversed, and establishes procedures to correct records when individuals are restored to reason or granted relief from firearms disabilities
