Requires applicants for soliciting bail agent and bail enforcement agent licenses to successfully complete a limited examination by the Department of Insurance beginning July 1, 2013.

Mandates 40 classroom hours of prelicensing education approved by the Professional Bail Agents Association of Mississippi for initial professional bail agent, soliciting bail agent, or bail enforcement agent licenses.

Requires fingerprint submission and criminal history record checks at both state and federal levels for all license applicants, with fees paid by the applicant to the Insurance Department Fund.

Establishes continuing education requirements of 8 classroom hours per year (16 hours per two-year license period) for license renewal, with exemptions for applicants age 65 or older with 20 consecutive years of professional bail agent licensing.

Effective July 1, 2013.
