Extends the repeal date of anemometer tower safety marking requirements from July 1, 2013 to July 1, 2017 in Mississippi Code Section 61-19-1.

Anemometer towers 50 feet or higher located outside municipalities must be marked with aviation orange and white paint on the top third, marker balls on guy wires, and safety sleeves at anchor points.

Towers erected before July 1, 2011 were required to comply with marking standards within one year; towers erected on or after that date must be marked upon erection.

Guy wire anchor points must have contrasting appearance with surrounding vegetation and be fenced if the adjacent land is grazed, covering an area not less than 64 square feet at least 4 feet from the anchor point.

Violations of the marking requirements constitute a misdemeanor offense.
