Recognizes Mississippi Corrections Commissioner Christopher Epps as the longest-serving Commissioner in the state's history upon his investiture as the 102nd President of the American Correctional Association (ACA) on January 28, 2013.

Acknowledges Epps' appointment as Commissioner on August 30, 2002, by Governor Ronnie Musgrove and subsequent reappointments, with his 11th year of service as of the resolution date.

Honors Epps' accomplishments including receiving the 2012 Michael Francke Award as outstanding National Director of Corrections and achieving ACA Golden Eagle Award status for the Mississippi Department of Corrections (14th state to do so).

Recognizes his 31 years of corrections experience beginning as a Correctional Officer in 1982 and his military service with the Mississippi Army National Guard, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel with honorable discharge.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Commissioner Epps and his family, forwarded to the Governor and Association of State Correctional Administrators, and distributed to Capitol Press Corps.
