Heritage Academy "Patriots" defeated Magnolia Heights Academy 10-3 on November 9, 2012, to win the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools Class AAA, Division 2 State Championship at Mississippi College's Robinson-Hale Stadium

The 7-5 team finished the season on a five-game winning streak and secured the program's first State Title since 1986 and first playoff appearance since 2005

Coach Barrett Donahoe achieved the championship victory in his first season as Head Coach at Heritage Academy in Columbus, Mississippi

Named All-District honorees include Cade Lott (QB), Taylor Fields (TE/DE), Wesley Swedenberg (OL/DT), Parker Dunaway (WR/KR/DB), Miller Puckett (RB), and Hudson Bean (DB/WR)
