Recognizes June 12, 2013, as an "International Day of Remembrance" commemorating the 50th anniversary of the assassination of civil rights leader Medgar Evers

Calls for houses of worship, educational institutions, and public facilities to toll bells for 30 seconds at 12:00 noon and ring bells joyously for 30 seconds at 12:30 p.m. on June 12, 2013

Acknowledges the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Institute's coordination of commemorative events, including a Celebration on the Green at the Mississippi Museum of Art from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Establishes that June 12 shall continue to be recognized as an International Day of Remembrance in future years to honor Evers' legacy of mutual respect and reconciliation

Directs transmission of the resolution to the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Institute, William Winter Institute for Racial Reconciliation, and Mississippi Religious Leadership Conference
