Simple domestic violence third offense (two prior convictions within 7 years) is punishable by 5-10 years imprisonment; simple domestic violence fourth or subsequent (three or more prior convictions) is punishable by 10-15 years imprisonment.

Aggravated domestic violence third offense (two prior convictions within 7 years) is punishable by 10-20 years imprisonment; aggravated domestic violence fourth or subsequent (three or more prior convictions) is punishable by 15-20 years imprisonment.

Authorizes courts to issue criminal protection orders upon conviction for domestic violence offenses, with municipal and justice courts limited to one year duration and circuit and county courts able to issue orders for longer periods as deemed necessary.

Requires law enforcement to use standardized offense report forms when investigating domestic violence allegations and mandates sentencing orders include "domestic violence" designation; violation of criminal protection orders is a misdemeanor punishable by up to $500 fine or 6 months jail time.
