Create new Section 25-3-39.2 exempting special assistant, assistant, and deputy attorneys general from salary cap limitations in Section 25-3-39.

Allow the Attorney General to fix compensation for special assistant, assistant, and deputy attorneys general without regard to state salary caps that normally limit employee salaries to 150% of the Governor's salary.

Amend Section 7-5-3 to allow the Attorney General (rather than the Legislature) to fix compensation for deputy attorneys general.

Amend Section 7-5-5 to allow the Attorney General to fix compensation for all assistant attorneys general positions authorized by law.

Effective date: July 1, 2014.
