Amends Mississippi Code Section 63-3-809 to add sanitation vehicles to the list of stationary vehicles that approaching drivers must yield to when the vehicle displays authorized flashing lights.

Requires drivers approaching a stationary sanitation vehicle (used to collect solid waste, refuse, or recyclable material) to either change lanes away from the vehicle if safely possible on a roadway with at least four lanes, or reduce speed and prepare to stop if lane changes are unsafe or impossible.

Establishes penalties for violations as a misdemeanor with fines up to $250, or up to $1,000 if the violation results in property damage or bodily injury to workers or passengers.

Applies the same "move over" requirements to sanitation vehicles that already exist for recovery vehicles, utility service vehicles, and highway maintenance vehicles.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
