Replaces the term "per diem" with "salary" throughout Mississippi Code sections 23-15-137, 23-15-153, 23-15-211, 23-15-225, and 23-15-239 relating to election commissioner compensation.

Maintains all existing compensation amounts, including $84.00 per day for standard election duties and $150.00 per day for general or special election days, with no changes to payment rates or eligibility requirements.

Updates the county election commissioner salary claim form to use the word "salary" instead of "per diem" while preserving all other form language and requirements.

Applies the terminology change to compensation for election commissioners, county registrars, circuit clerks, and related election officials across all election-related duties including training, registration book preparation, and election conduct.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
