Adds "official at a sports event" to the list of protected persons under Mississippi's enhanced assault statute (Section 97-3-7)

Simple assault against a sports official acting within the scope of their duty increases penalties from up to $500 fine and 6 months jail to up to $1,000 fine and 5 years imprisonment

Aggravated assault against a sports official acting within the scope of their duty carries penalties of up to $5,000 fine and 30 years imprisonment, compared to standard maximum of 20 years

Sports officials receive the same enhanced protection already provided to law enforcement officers, teachers, judges, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and other public servants
