Amends Section 21-23-3 of Mississippi Code to increase the maximum number of municipal judges that municipalities with populations exceeding 50,000 can appoint from six to ten judges.

Each municipal judge appointed shall exercise the same authority and prerogatives of the office, regardless of the presence or absence of other municipal judges.

Maintains existing requirements that municipal judges must be qualified electors of the county where the municipality is located and must be attorneys at law.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
