Creates the Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act to establish consistent jurisdictional rules for guardianship and conservatorship proceedings across states.

Establishes jurisdiction based on respondent's home state (physically present for 6+ consecutive months), significant connection to the state, or emergency situations, with Mississippi courts having exclusive continuing jurisdiction once an appointment is made.

Allows courts to communicate and cooperate with courts in other states, including requesting evidentiary hearings, testimony, evaluations, and exchange of records to facilitate guardianship proceedings.

Permits transfer of existing guardianships and conservatorships to other states and authorizes registration and recognition of guardianship and protective orders from other states.

Effective July 1, 2014, applying to guardianship and protective proceedings begun on or after that date while also covering certain proceedings begun before July 1, 2014.
