Amends Section 41-21-77 of Mississippi Code to require that when admission is ordered at a treatment facility in a civil commitment proceeding, the director shall not unduly withhold admittance.

Requires the facility director who denies admittance for any reason to provide written explanation of the denial to the court within 24 hours.

Maintains existing provisions that the sheriff or court-appointed person delivers the respondent to the facility director, and that the Department of Mental Health and its employees shall not be ordered to deliver respondents.

Effective July 1, 2014.
