Increases excise tax on cigars, cheroots, stogies, snuff, chewing tobacco, smoking tobacco, and other tobacco products (except cigarettes) from 15% to 22.5% of manufacturer's list price.

Cigarette excise tax remains unchanged at 3.4 cents per cigarette (maximum 120 millimeters length).

Tax increase applies to all sales, use, consumption, handling, and distribution of affected tobacco products within Mississippi.

Effective date is July 1, 2014.
