Requires drug testing of pregnant women arrested for violations of the Uniform Controlled Substances Law.

Establishes that a positive drug test result for a pregnant woman constitutes felonious child abuse under Mississippi Code Section 97-5-39.

Adds testing positive for controlled substances while pregnant as a felonious child abuse offense subject to imprisonment of not less than 5 years and up to life for first conviction, and life imprisonment for second or subsequent convictions.

Effective July 1, 2014.
