Increases per diem compensation for school board members from an unspecified amount to $40.00 for mandatory training sessions, regional meetings, and national education meetings beyond regular board meeting attendance.

Maintains existing per diem of $67.00 for no more than 36 regular school board meetings per fiscal year, or allows members to elect an annual salary of $2,400.00 instead.

Requires school board members to submit detailed vouchers and obtain prior board authorization before receiving reimbursement for mileage and expenses related to training and education meetings.
