Requires driver's licenses and identification cards to display "PDD" designation upon presentation of a letter from a licensed physician or psychologist verifying diagnosis of a pervasive developmental disorder.

Applies to new, renewal, or duplicate driver's licenses, temporary driving permits, intermediate licenses, and commercial driver's licenses.

Applies the same "PDD" designation requirement to state identification cards issued to persons with pervasive developmental disorders.

Mandates the Board on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Training establish regulations requiring not less than 6 hours of mental health and behavioral training in initial officer certification programs and not less than 1 hour in continuing education programs.

Training must teach officers to recognize behavioral characteristics of autism, Asperger's syndrome, and other mental or medical conditions that may present with atypical symptoms and could be misinterpreted as suspicious behavior.
