Requires applicants for Class A alarm contracting licenses to submit a set of fingerprints with their application to the State Fire Marshal.

Requires applicants for individual alarm contracting licenses (Class B, C, D, or T) to submit fingerprints with their application to the State Fire Marshal.

Mandates the State Fire Marshal forward fingerprints to the Department of Public Safety for state-level criminal history record checks, and then to the Federal Bureau of Investigation if no disqualifying record is found.

Authorizes applicants to pay fees related to criminal history record checks, with fees deposited into the Residential Electronic Protection Licensing Fund in the State Treasury.

Effective date: July 1, 2014.
